Under the Big Top, Auf der Theresienwiese is a travelling tent (“Chapiteau”) erected temporarily on Munich’s Theresienwiese (80339 München). The tent is large enough to accommodate Cirque du Soleil’s production scale, including its rigging, acrobatic equipment, stage, and audience seating arranged around the circular performance area. The site is steeped in Munich event history; Theresienwiese hosts Oktoberfest, spring and winter festivals, and large-scale cultural shows.
